Spyros Nikolaou

From teaching experience, leadership skills, and passion for dance education. I hold a BA (Hons) in Dance from the University of Roehampton, where I specialised heavily in Contemporary training while also developing a strong foundation in Ballet and Commercial Jazz. This training has provided me with strong technical ability, versatility across movement styles, and the confidence to effectively demonstrate and teach movement.

Alongside my studies, I held the role of Programme Leader throughout my three years at Roehampton University, where I worked collaboratively to help improve and develop the programme across all year groups. This experience strengthened my leadership, communication, organisation, and teamwork skills.

I have also gained practical teaching experience through leading a 10-week workshop programme in collaboration with Ibstock Private School, where I worked closely with Year 8 students to support and prepare them for their Dance GCSE pathway. In addition, I worked as a Dance Teacher at Inspire Ballet School during my final term of study, further developing my ability to teach students of different ages, abilities, and learning styles.

I am confident in creating engaging and supportive learning environments that encourage students to develop both technically and creatively. I enjoy helping students build confidence and progress while ensuring lessons remain positive, motivating, and enjoyable.

I currently hold a basic DBS check and have already applied for an enhanced DBS. I am reliable, professional, and highly passionate about supporting young dancers in their development and inspiring a love for dance.
